This is a very interesting project, I am surprised how well the front strap fits the newer gun. Matching the back strap will even more interesting. Please keep us posted on how this comes out. My local gun store has a 32/20 Bisley with a 7.5" barrel for sale. It looks like it's at least 90%. The original Bisley grip frame is comfortable to say the least.

The Bisley had a different frame than the SAA. Looks like welding to add steel is required. I have always beleived that Elmer's original number 5 was built on a Bisley. Jayhawker

It is good to see those parts getting used for a worthy project. They came from what was left of Bill Grover's (of TLA fame) shop. A lot of his stuff just got thrown away when the bank repoed his property. I am glad there was someone there to save at least some of it.
Anywho, that gives your project a bit of history, REP!
