Now.....what is the glass you are planning to use. I've used Nightforce almost exclusively but to be honest, I tried a "SuperSniper" from Riflescopes.com. I think it was built by Tasco but it never lost zero and the adjustments were dead on. Hard to beat for the money....GS

Not sure what scope I'll go with yet Glenn. Fortunately I have some time to decide. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Lee I saw one of these at the gun show yesterday and it seemed like a very well put together piece of equipment. Bill Thanks Bill. Larry at State Arms was a pleasure to order from. He spent over a half an hour with me on the phone talking about the gun and 50 BMG shooting. Really nice guy and a wealth of knowledge. -Lee www.singleactions.com

Bill, that one was 10x, the 16x was a little too much and it didn't focus well for me. The 10x did really well surprisingly enough. We mounted it on the Armalite AR50. It stayed on there for a couple of years before being replaced by another Nightforce 8x32 or something like that power wise. The Super sniper scope was one I was just wanting to try and it never once lost zero and you had no problems with focusing at 1000 yards. The adjustments were very true and it would group amazingly well went running the "box" drill to check the adjustment movements. In fact, this scope shot many groups at the 3-400 yard range that were just very very small clusters. The AR50 is a very accurate rifle, I can tell you that with certainty. GS

Just checked out State Arms' website. That's a lot of gun for the money. What power glass do most folks put on these?

Mine should be here in the next few weeks. Ordered it on Jan 18th and Larry said the turnaround is 90 days. As for recoil, 50 BMGs with a good brake and some weight aren't that bad. My dad has a 40 pound single-shot you can shoot all day (short of going broke). They're much harder on the sinuses than the shoulder. Think mine will get topped by a 6x24 Weaver V-Series. -Lee www.singleactions.com

That's a great scope Lee. My son- in-law went with an AR50 and since it was his money, I talked him into a nightforce 12X42X56 and that puppy is a dream. Very bright and you can get with it at 800 or 1,000 yards and easily see target detail - now a little mirage will mess with ya at high power but having the option of 42X on a good day is really something. I know I'm glad he purchased it.
