Traded for a new FNH PBR(patrol bolt rifle). After I payed the bills I sold my 445 SM to Axehandle for, I had enought for some boot money on a trade for this rifle. It has a 22 inch heavy hammer forged barrel. I put the 24 power Weaver target scope and the bipod on from stuff I already had. I got it about two weeks ago, but I haven't been able to shoot it yet. The range I shoot at has been under water from all the rain we have had. Bill

I shot one of those when they first came out, it shot decent but I thought a Remington 700PSS I already had edged it out by a bit and was about 1000 cheaper, but nice setup though.

Yo Bill... That gun a 308? I have a Remington 700 PSS in 300UM that you might need..... Bet most of these guys don't know that you sit on top of one of the few 1000 yard ranges in this part of the country... Seems like I heard somewhere that it was the only civilian 1000 yard range this side of the river...

Yep, the range is there. It might as well be on the moon. It is controled by the national guard now as part of their training base. It's easier for me to go to Oak Ridge and shoot. I don't belong to the gun club that can shoot on it. That club only get vary limited access to the range. Bill

I've got a range report on the new rifle. I finally got to the range with some test loads and I think I found a keeper. Man it was hot. 96 Deg. and I wasn't in the shade. I'm happy with it! Bill

That would be 5 shots. The black on that target is 2 7/8". I'm understandably impressed for a rig that I've got less that $1000 dollars in.

I'd keep it if it were mine (but I have enough bolt guns for now so it doesn't look like one's in my immediate future) and that's what we were getting from the Black Hills factory in my buddy's gun
