Anybody? I do load for the 41 mag and have read you need to grind down the seater crimp die for the special . Or is there a easier way?

I’ll dig out some 41 Special brass I made 20 + years ago and try my Hornady dies. I seem to remember they crimped 41 Special just fine. I’ll check this afternoon after church.

I use an extra expander die and seating die that has been trimmed to allow for the shorter length of the special. I believe Redding makes a 41 spl Profile Crimp Die now.

Hornady dies will crimp either 41 magnum or special.

My RCBS will not crimp-- but my Lee will-- it does bump the shoulder on a Keith bullet-- I shoot a 5 shot gun- a Tarsus 4" .41 magnum
