My folks are going through their stuff, downsizing for a move to a retirement home. My younger brother and his wife are down from NYC for a visit this weekend. While the gang was all gathered up at my parents, my youngest kids started looking through old photos from my childhood. My dad was a career Army officer and my youngest brother and I were born while he was stationed in Italy. My folks took lots of photos to send home to the grandparents in the States. We came across this shot from my 2nd birthday, in November '60. I'm the chubby kid in the middle. Looks like I got my first pair of six-shooters and a rig to carry them in. My older brother, now a liberal, gun control advocate lawyer, grabbed one and I have mine apparently centered on my father's head, judging from the clear shot down the bore. Little bro is 13 months old and he's latched on to a toy Model T. He's a NYC investment banker now and owns no guns either. I still love old cars and old guns. One of those original sixguns is in my display case along with a bunch of more recent, and some much older, ones that make a bit more noise. Miss those more innocent days. Tim

That's pretty darned cool Tim!
I lost all my childhood treasures in a forest fire in 2000.
It hurts a little sometimes not to have the keepsakes.
Funny (or not) how when we get away from our roots our outlook on things can change so much.
Thank God when I left NC I went to the Blue Ridge and then to NM and never landed in any metropolitan area or CA.

At first Tim I wondered where you got a picture of me in my youth. I guess that was the only haircut in the 60’s

Great pic and memories! Question, do you still use your middle finger as your trigger finger!?

Looks like a Daisey "Spittin' Image" copy of an Ojala fast draw rig. Great picture and memories.
