Thinking I'll build a lightweight 22/45 based 22. Volquartsen lower for sure. Barrel is the question. Volquartsen or Tac Sol? Are they equal? I know I like the iron sights on the Volquartsen. How do the Tac Sol sights compare?

Based on my experience with 10/22 barrels from various makers, I would choose a Volquartsen barrel over a Tac Sol any day. In a 10/22 I would buy (and now only use) Kidd barrels. The Tac Sol rifle barrels look great and are very light weight. Their accuracy was always decent but not on the level of the Volquartsens or Kid barrels.
The Volquartsen LLV upper is very accurate light weight package. I put one on a stainless MKIII lower when the LLV first came out. My nephew was shooting it a few times and bonded with it so much I gave it to him.

I've got a couple of Tac Sol 22 AR barrels that I've been impressed with. Also own a 22/45 based Volquartsen Olympic 22. They both make good stuff. I can buy the Tac Sol product significantly cheaper. My concern is the rear iron sight on the Tac Sol pistol barrel. I know the Volquartsen sight is a quality piece. Only seen the Tac Sol product in pictures.
