We are going to list the various types of custom hammers that Dave Clements makes for the Old Model Ruger sixguns. We will also start a wish list of couple he doesn't make YET and perhaps if we can crank up enough interest we can get a run made up. We will be including the triggers as well. Be advised that Clements like all of our other better Sixgunsmiths is already so backlogged he is close to the point where he is about to stop answering the phone so let try to be patient here. So I will go through the original thread and get this list started and would say if you even think you might need one of these hammers and triggers for a future project you should sign up. I also need to know which hammer(s) you want, and if you are going to need a trigger. Remember, Dave makes both a Bisley style as well as a standard frame trigger in both the slim and wide shoe styles.

Last, and this is very important. When David Clements gets ready to build these a deposit will be due. He will let us know but expect it to be somewhere between 100 bucks to 1/2 the cost of the trigger and hammer combo. Hammers should be somewhere in the 275 US range and triggers some 50+ bucks range. Clement states he requires a 30% deposit to start your work.

I purchased an OM Bisley hammer and trigger for a Bisley frame from a member here so make mine 2x OM Bisley SPUR Hammer l(for standard sixguns). These two with plowhandle triggers.

Are the suggestions for these custom hammers restricted to only Ruger Single Actions? I've been debating long and hard about frankenstiening a Bisley-spur onto a Colt SAA, but if a professional-job could be strum-up, (case-hardened afterward as well?) ...I'd take a couple!

This buy is for Ruger Old Model hammers. You might however actually get really lucky with this one as Alan Harton has stopped taking Ruger work to focus on Colt Single Actions. He can graft a Bisley Spur onto your SAA hammer. I would give him a call or shoot him an email.

Robb, now maybe I’m not as smart as that mule of yours, but just to be clear, you’re wanting a Single Six Hammer, with a Bisley Spur and hump right? And if so, do you already have a trigger?

The Bisley grip frame vs. plow handle grip frame difference is only in the size of the hump behind the thumbpiece.
