For all the Smith & Wesson fans... I came across this beauty, recently and she just had to come home with me. The seller had zero appreciation for revolvers so, the price was ridiculously good. Although, I suspected the "dash zero" to be uncommon, I knew very little about specific details. (Thanks to good folks at S&W forum: colt saa, et al.) I searched this forum and nothing came up on the 627-0 so, here you go! -Bill Clean, Unfired As Found

Is the top strap and barrel rib checkered like other 27s ? Nice find!

Mine's checkered on top. If your gonna shoot that one you may want to look into some square butt conversion grips . Maybe it's just me but the round butts feel funny with that long heavy snout.

Man, I always liked those! I couldn't find one when they came out so I "had" to settle for a 686 (which I still love)......Very nice snag by the way!!

Thanks for the kind remarks. Sometimes, I have what can only be called "dumb luck" when it comes to finding unusual firearms. The Combat Grips are somewhat plain, but here's a shot from the best angle to view the grain. -Bill

The Smith 357Magnums are sweet and household favorites here; your N frame looks comforting and nice to boot. 👍

Ugh!!! Had my sights on one years ago, but someone else snatched it up before I could close the deal. Still looking... Yep... that stinks. I think we've all had a "fish that got away" story. I found this one in a legitimate gun store -usually, I find 'em in pawn shops. I took pictures and left to do some research. By the next day, I knew I had to jump on it. Thankfully, it was still there. Sometimes, I enjoy "the hunt" as much as "the kill" because gems are just out there waiting to be diacovered. I think you're due, Steve. Good luck! -Bill Taken in Natural Light
