Well, not really a classic unless you consider the heritage and age of the previous owner. The story gets interesting after an electronic conversation with one of our wise and very talented forum members. I won't mention his name because I haven't asked permission but it should be known that if this man says a firearm of any make, model or type is a good one then you can be as sure of it as death and taxes. There are a couple parts to this story so I'll start at the beginning. Just over a year ago (August 2016) I decided I had had enough of being fat. I was having a hard time doing my job and tying my boots. I was a poor physical example of a human being and what bothered me the most was that I couldn't play with my grandson Tater. It was time for a change. Here it is 14 months later and I'm 71 pounds (started at 276 lbs) lighter and I feel better than I've felt in years. Not to mention Tater and me have grand times playing, fishing, hiking, shooting and Bigfoot hunting. You might say that's great but what does that have to do with a Kahr pistol? That's where the aforementioned electronic conversation comes in. Our conversation started out talking about the attributes of different pistols. A long story short I had a pistol that he wanted and he had a pistol and some extras that I wanted. I have a HUGE amount of respect and admiration for this man so I would have traded my goods for just about anything he had just to have something that belonged to him. As it turns out he owned a Kahr CW9 with a few extras. A trade was made and I am now the proud owner of a dandy carry piece that was owned by, dare I say it, a modern day handgun hero of mine and a damn fine human being to boot!! So, after all these silly words I'll let some pictures tell the rest. The little Kahr CW9 along with a nice Kydex holster and mag pouch that came with it. I added the stippling and a set of Dawson Precision sights. This little gun is a good shooter. Of course the previous owner told me it was. He said he'd never have a gun that wasn't a tack driver. Just wish some of his shooting mojo would have come with the pistol. So after losing all the weight and having a cherished carry pistol I decided it was time for a new rig. I ordered a new belt and holster from Simply Rugged. It arrived today and of course the quality is top notch as is usual from SR. No, a Kahr CW9 ain't worth thousands of dollars and there's a pile of 'em out there but there ain't but one CW9 like this one. One that was owned, carried and shot by a man that also is like no other. A man that I admire and consider a teacher, mentor and friend. So to me, this pistol is priceless.

I am glad someone here got that package. I agree on the former owner, having a firearm they have used and carried packs its own special appeal! Good trade Paul, I carry the exact same gun daily.

Nice! One of my favorites. As mentioned on another thread, the CW45 is my all day everyday pocket gun. Mines not as nice as yours -- factory grip and sights -- no cool stippling or custom sights.

I weigh almost as much as your starting weight. I need to figure out how to lose a bunch or else.
I bought a TP9 from Buds last year, I love it. I've had a P9, before there was a CW9. I like it too, but my little brother liked it better.
What model holster is that? I think I need one for my Kahr.

About 95 when they were first making the gun rags I worked at a little shop and they sold us ten of the all stael guns at half distributor price just to get out there. The Moonies made a great gun and we sold probably thirty of them before I had to move on. Gott into Vintager SxS shooting and my great little gun went down the road. Well back in Alaska now with no SxS and wish I still have the all steel kahr. Enjoy

Thank you all for the positive comments. I did a little tune up on this pistol after I got familiar with it. I ordered a spring kit from Kahr and replaced the slide stop lever spring and guide rod spring (That was an adventure, those guide rod springs are stout!) I also replaced the guide rod with a stainless steel one from Lakeline. I replaced the plastic magazine release button with a steel one and I replaced the slide stop lever. I also put new magazine springs in the 7 round mags that came with it. All Kahr OEM parts except the guide rod.
Warhawk: If you're asking about the kydex holster I don't know who made that holster or the model. There's no info on the holster. If you're referring to the Simply Rugged holster that one is their Defcon3 model. Comes with straps and hardware for IWB carry also.
Paul105: I like the sight picture these Dawson Precision sights give over the stock dot bar set up from Kahr. More light around the front sight and the fiber optic dot is smaller than the white dot on the factory sight. Plus the Dawson version is steel rather than the plastic factory offering.

Forgot to mention (senior moment) -- the metal magazine followers are a real good idea. Aplastic follower broke one me -- now all of my carry mags are equipped with the lakeline metal followers lakelinellc.com/ . Paul

I had a P-9 for a few years. Liked it. It did go back once for feed issues. Then ran like a top. Came to me with 24/7 Big Dot sights. Nephew on south side of Tampa Bay needed it more. Put some of that traction tape from the ejection port to the rear sight. Gun can then be "racked" on thigh or other arm or opponents forehead...

Paul I looked at those when I was ordering my guide rod and I had read a lot of comments online of folks having issues with the followers but I haven't had a single problem as of yet with followers in any of the 5 mags that I have. BUT, I won't be able to resist buying them for long even though I don't need them.

The CW9 and CW 45 just work for this old round gun DA shooter. Both are very accurate and easy to carry. I have had zero problems with the Kahrs I own. Round gun DA typetrigger pull at 6 pds and a magazine for a reload and upgraded sights over a snubby. Win! Win! And I started carrying round guns on duty for the old AF in 1965 up until 1988 then switched to a Commander.

I do like the holster/belt combo. My bride carries a Kahr just like yours minus the stipling and sights. I may just have to stiple it some if she likes it.

My wife has a Kahr E9 and it's far and away her favorite gun. Congratulations on a great gun, and good sensible mods.
