I love it! Short barrel revolvers just look right to me and those grips are fantastic
I think JT should have considered a fourth P for personal. Always loved the concept and over time it has been several different double and single action revolvers even a couple semi autos. A Kahr CW45 is my current always pocket gun -- it in my pants when I put them on in the morning and remains there when I take them off.
FWIW,
Paul

The PPP is something I am searching for and likely will all my life. This looks to be a prime contender. Thanks Whit!

The metal work is done on mine! Had Bowen take a SS Bisley 45Colt and do his Perfect Bisley #2 package on it and cut the to 4 5/8" and deck the frame. As of now am having Fun shooting! After deer season plan to send the grip frame out for a set of Birdseye grip. Have a board that I have saved for 25-30 yrs of Heavy eye!

Two notes, I thought my JRH 480 had a beautiful set of grips. Yours look better! Rob does amazing work. Second, I've got this Bisquero .44 donor that would be so much fun as a 480...you may have finally convinced me.

Beautiful gun! What kind of wood are those grips, and what in your opinion will be the perfect packing load for the gun? Thank you sir! I believe it is Turkish walnut, but Rob can correct me if I am wrong. I haven't worked up the perfect load for it yet, but it will probably be a 400 + grain hardcast bullet at 1,100 fps or so (I am guessing/projecting). I have the bullet and load though id argue the lehigh 330 flatnose at about 1200 will kick less and penetrate more.

My 400 grain bullet at +/- 1110 fps traveled about 36" lengthwise through a deer that was standing 55 yards from my muzzle. Hard to ask for more than that.

Ahh,,, the elusive PPP. Everybody has an idea of what will fit the bill for their PPP. Irregardless of of any ideas,,, that one definitely qualifies as a prime example of a PPP. And the grips,,, truly a premium piece of wood that sets it off quite well!

The Lehigh 330gr bullets mentioned by Tradmark ? Midway shows that they should come back into stock today. At .80 per when broke down. Not so rough to stomach as the Punch bullets ? I've a few 100 of the 395gr HP's that fell from Sixshots mold when I want to step up from the lighter lead. With no Watusi's seen in NE Ohio...feel safe..LOL.

The flatpoints are the ones im talking about. Once you have gone up to a 480 youre beyond "need" or sensibility in ohio so why not go for broke?!?! 😀
