you had to go & mention Ray Wiley Hubbard in the 476 WTH thread... I started off with an MP3 down load of "Cooler than Hell"... now I think I put together a 10 song Hubbard greatest hits playlist... I probably could add "Snake Farm" but that song doesn't juice me like these right here... "Drunken Poets Dream" "Cooler than Hell" "Coricidin Bottle" "South of the River" "Mother Blues" "Count my Blessings" "Hey Momma my Time Aint Long" "Chick Singer Bad Ass Rockin" "Kilowatts" "Rabbit" "Live & Die Rock n Roll" anyone else with some obscure great music like this... IMO, this is kinda like a cross between Arlo Guthry, Bob Dillon & ZZ Top ... good old kick ass Texas music I highly recommend going to you tube & checking out the "Cooler than Hell" music video

He wrote the song which was recorded by Jerry Jeff Walker for his classic album Viva Terlingua...Contains one of the all time great lyrics "Just kicking hippies asses and raising hell!"

Thanks, I tend to confuse the three name guys. Jerry Jeff Walker, Ray Wiley Hubbard, David Allen Coe...

Too damn ironic. Attended a 3 day party & dove shoot last weekend & there was a singer one night. The whole weekend is mostly a blur, but I clearly remember the guy singing Homegrown Tomatoes.

Gov't Mule has a great live album of all Pink Floyd songs called "Dark Side of the Mule". I highly recommend it.

I'm a big fan of the Casey Donahew Band. Standoff is their best album
