14 inch barrel 12 gauge. Just over 26 inches OAL. Not a shotgun! Not NFA!

Which one is the better value? Mossberg Shockwave or the Remmy?

I hope a 20 gauge is coming in this configuration.

Just like the boxers and briefs issue. My preference is the Remington. I have a few. Personally I'd have never bought this configuration in the Mossberg. Not that it is bad it is just simple preference. A 20 might be a nice addition to the set to have something the smaller framed shooters can shoot.

Just like the boxers and briefs issue. My preference is the Remington. Local place tried to sway me to the Mossberg when I mentioned holding out for the Rem. His main point was the safety placement of the Mossberg and my counter was "But I have an 870 already so the manual of arms stays the same". Did I mention they had the Mossberg on the rack but the Remington order hadn't come in yet? How much fun would a 20ga based on the 1100 be?

I went with the Remington because of the safety location. The Mossberg safety located on the top of the receiver is right where your hand will end up after recoil. If Mossberg had a trigger guard safety I would have gone with it. Now, I just need some time to get the Tac-14 out to shoot it. Mobjack

Mounted a Crimson Trace rail laser on the Tac 14... Makes it a much more shootable gun for me. Pictures soon.

Theoretically I'd take an 870 over a 590.
Realistically, with what Remington's been turning out the last few years, I don't think I would.

Question and comment. Where did you mount the laser? I'm guessing the receiver is drilled and tapped? Would be cool to get Barranti to make a thigh rig for this thing. Not practical but definitely cool.
