Will somebody send me a photo of or tell me how close to the muzzle the writing on the underside of the 6.5" .480 bisley is?
Real question is: If I cut the barrel to 5.5" will it cut into the writing?

No, 5.5" takes you to the end of the ejector rod housing and the warning stamp/writing is on the shorter side of the ejector button at about 4-13/16". The writing is also on the bottom side of the barrel, not on the left side like it used to be.

Too late! I already wiped all that writing off my 480's barrel!
