Maybe I'm wrong, but why do I feel like I just got a chair kicked out from under me? I hope it's a good thing, have used & liked their products for 40 years.

I personally haven't had the best experience with their bullets. That's just me. I'm not saying g anything negative about them as a whole. Buy hopefully this is a good thing for the company, the product, and the consumer.

m.nasdaq.com/press-release/clarus-acquires-sierra-bullets-for-79-million-20170822-00496It appears they were known as Black Diamond Inc until a few days ago when they became Clarus, Black Diamond is a climbing company and they also own a avalanche beacon company. Sounds like a small but growing outdoor investment company, says they want to grow Sierra Bullets and create new product lines for them. I wonder just how many different bullets they are supposed to make? Who know if you will really see a difference in the company or not from a consumers point of view...

Never used their bullets for hunting, but their match bullets are hard to beat. However my first two deer taken in Alaska in the 60's were shot with 140 Sierra's out of my dads .284 Win. Both deer were feet up and on the ground in a split second, very dramatic. Bullets essentially disintegrated inside the chest cavity.
