Nilgi taken with FA`s 500WE....top pic shows nilgi before it started to rain.... then down and dirty.... last pic shows recovered Woodleigh 400 gr. JFP bullets.... Used a LilGun handload from Brian Pierce article and had to trim the 500WE brass so I could utilize the crimp groove on the Woodleigh bullet and that the OAL would fit the FA`s cylinder. I made a good first shot and he ran about 100yds and lay`ed down and the other three buulets were used as he tried to get back up... Tough animal...

Amazing. Where was that?
That moose sure looks great, they sure are monsters when you get close enough to shoot them with a revolver.

Nice "blue bull" James. I understand they have a reputation for being hard to kill, don't look all that big. Your bull moose is a bit bigger than my bull & yes they are all big when taken with a sixgun. I ended up taking one of the smallest bulls I'd seen in 27 days. I think they are easier to kill than elk, just my opinion, although moose react different.

Dick, I have only taken two moose with my FA`s 5 shots...A Utah Shiras and an Alaskan but agree with you that they are easier tho kill then elk. With placement in the heart lung area on both.... they ran a short distance and dropped. No finish needed......

Checking sights on my FA`s 454 at gravel pit near Paradise, Utah before going to moose camp. You can see that was pre-muzzle brake on my 454 along with Redfield 2-6X.....Wastach Mtn.s in background.... Next pic shows hole through heart on moose from 260gr. JFP....Shot was around 60yds.... It was last day of 5 day hunt and going home without moose...We were in camp at lunch and looked through spotting scope to open meadow bout 1/2 mile away and spotted moose. We jumped in truck with guide and on the way to meadow we spot this bull with cow near small pond. Jumped out, grabbed sticks and bull was running away when guide let out a call that stopped bull in his tracks giving me time to make shot....

Recovered 260gr JFP bullet from just under hide of offside shoulder of bull moose... To quote an often used saying by gun writers: " the bullet can be reloaded". The lead in that FA`s bullet was very hard.....
