Can they cut a pre-rifled barrel on a CNC machine? (NOT the rifling)
1911 and 1911 style Grizzlys?
I talked to a firm recently and they think they can cut me a new slide stop for a Webley Self-loading, so it seems, to me, logical they could so a 1911 barrel.
I need at least one in .455, (I have everything except the barrel) and would like to modify a Grizzly to .475 Wildey.
Just wondering.

Sems to me that a few of the custom 1911 barrel makers offer barrels short chambered so you dial 'em in to your own specs. This are offered in the Brownells catalog, usually as .38/9mm or .40 bores. I would imagine these same makes can make you a .45 bore 1911 barrel with a no chamber if you ask, then it could be chambered to .455 Self-Loading. I think I would much rather have an established barrel maker build something for me.

I tried to get barrels made, but the gent in Wisc. who would do it quickly and cheaply has gov. contracts and he could take no new work. Cliff Lebounty was outrageously expensive; Bar-Sto seemed interested but after I sent them cartridges for the chamber when I called they were always too busy.(To their credit, a year after I quit calling they sent my cartridges back) The Brit. .455 needs a special barrel, it cannot use a .45 ACP barrels unless you want the bullet to go rattling down the barrel.

Ah, my apologies. I assumed the .455 bore would be the same as a .45ACP.
Back to the drawing board?
