Well my sheriff swore in a new deputy this last week and he's a good shot. I'm thinking I need one of these black powder frames with a 7 1/2" barrel also and make it 45 Colt like the last two. Edited 10/26/2009. Above I called these black powder frames which indeed when Colt made this frame version it was a black powder only frame but cross pin frames were built as black powder only frames also.

That's a fine looking brace of SAAs. And a great photograph, I might add.
I think you ought to go ahead and add that 7 1/2 incher to sort of round out the posse, so to speak.

You will definitely need that 7.5 to make the set. A very nice pair of Colts for sure. Beautiful!

That photo is absolutely beautiful! It does make my butt pucker up when I see those on the rock, though. I hope you have a cushion underneath!

Put your minds at ease theres not a single mark to be detected. I set them down very gently and picked them up with the same care. After I posted the picture it came to me I might hear some grief but rest assured all is well. For the comfort of others from now on I will post pictures of a softer background.

Rep1954 Wow, that's a nice that's a nice pair of Colts. Now I want a Sheriff's model more than ever. You really do need the 7-1/2" bbl to make the set complete. Whoops no wait then you'd need a 5-1/2" then one in .44WCF, then............... Thanks for sharing. Frank
