We have some badger whackers here! Very nice! Just picked up a unfired Hawkeye myself!

Very nice mount, about the only time you ever see one that doesn't have a bad attitude!

Nice Mount!
Only one I'll ever be likely to get is one frozen in a baggie...if I'm lucky!
Apparently there is a badger family at the Valle Caldera right up the road that has gotten some attention.
I was up there fishing last week and an "outdoorsy" family of 4 from California wanted to know where the badger den was and wanted to take some pictures...
What could possibly go wrong?

A buddy in the U.K. Had a large mound of dirt in their next door neighbors yard, by large I'm taking it looked like someone buried a Cadillac!!! I found out it was home to a group of badgers, and in the U.K. They are protected. I tell my buddy he needs to watch out for his cats and his Coy pond, because they might start disappearing. Hi reply is "stunning", .......Oh No mate, they're Vegetarians they only eat roots and fruit,!!! After I stopped laughing and giggling, I asked who told him that, he had surmised that they dug the tunnels during their forays looking for soft roots and maybe the odd worm or grub, but that they certainly weren't "MEAT" eaters, heaven forbid!!! I asked if U.K. Badgers were a different breed of badger than US badgers and he looked it up and found out that,.......OMG, badgers are "MEATEATERS"
