I hav`ent purchased many used handguns in the last 40 years but I`ve been lucky with those I have... Super BHwk. ser#41.. Colt Woodsmen 2nd ser. Match Target 4 1/2"....Auto Mag 44/357 So when I saw a Dan Wesson 32 mag listed at 98% with box I went for it.... I own a stainless DW 44 and this was the first time I`ve seen their blue finish. After giving the gun a visual once over I knew I lucky again...This gun was fired but very little... Tight as a drum with a cylinder lock up that rivals my Python... If I owned another 32 DW I seriously think I would lock this one in the safe like a gold bullion.... Now to run off some handloads to see what she likes.....

I've always wanted one... it's actually one that got away... saw a stainless one at a gun show probably 12 years ago... was dealing with the owner & went out side to get a couple possible trades, & someone came with cash while I was outside, & bought it out from under me... my blued 44 Magnum has a lot of plum color ( which I don't actually prefer ) yours looks very nice... a great find...

I don't care for that crazy plum color on my blued guns either.

That's a good looking DW. Nice find. I had the "other" .32 Dan Wesson, the 32-20, many many years ago. Sold it because ammo was hard to find. (Of course "cowboy shooting" became popular not long after. Funny how that happens.) That thing could handle some wicked hot loads.

I don't have any Dan Wesson guns. You were with me when we shot squirrels and I was using my Ruger. We had a lot of fun. You should have the same with yours.

Steve, The reason I bought a 32 was because of that day when we were shootin up the squirrel city....I had so much fun that when I ran dry on my 45 Colt ammo and you still had plenty of 32 I knew a 32 was in my future....

First, Dan Wesson makes the 357 Super Mag in blue and stainless. How could I not be a fan of DW? If you like BIG hawglegs, DW is the man. They are fantastic for accuracy and they eat recoil for lunch. That little 32 magnum is gorgeous. I'm sure you will bond fast. There is a problem. You can now search daily for more barrels. These are self-enabling guns. Nothing makes gunners smile like opening a case and seeing a beautiful sixgun with multiple length barrels all lined up. Takes 60 seconds to swap.
That kit you got is an awesome addition to the purchase. The shim, the barrel wrench, and the front sight insert are all great to have. Switching the barrel is very difficult without the wrench. That little original wrench can bring $75 at auction. I've never seen the paper you got. Great Buy !
Anybody who wants to get rid of the plum, put em up for sale. There is a gaggle of folks like me who seek them out.

I have a "plum" 44 Magnum, that has a custom snubbie barrel ( was a 6" ported barrel & shroud that leaded themselves together so badly they had to be cut apart ) plus a non ported 6" barrel & shroud... that I'd easily trade for a good stainless double action 44 Magnum... to me the plumb color is a "defect" ... not unlike fine wine turning to vinegar note... not trying to sell the gun this is the only picture I have of it, & it's inside & taken with a flash ( which would not be the optimum conditions to take a picture of the plum color )... should take one outside sometime Cylinder & barrel shroud seem to stay black... only the frames turned plum

Hey Magnum,
thanks for pic. You're right, I can barely make out the two tones between the frame and cylinder. I would try to find a pretty plum, but I already know you don't like it:)
I'll watch for that stainless 44.
