All these threads on small caliber varmint revos, go me to wondering if or how well a Ruger Single six or Blackhawk would handle the caliber??? Any thoughts or experience??? Ballistics from an auto 5" barrel shows 1500-1700fps with bullet weights similar to those used in 327 Federal from slightly longer barrels. I just don't know if a rimless shouldered round would behave well. Starline makes brass, regular .308 bullets can be used, and the round is short in OAL.

I like the idea, but I'm betting on some pretty significant setback.

I have always liked the round from shooting the surplus pistols. These things rocks. Personal 762x25 daydreams revolve around a H&R single shot rifle ( 762x39 and 762x54 would be nice also) or best case , a lever action 92 style . I bet you could get about 20 of those little suckers in there.

I also think the shoulder is at too small of an angle & the cartridge would set back pretty easily... but the BFR chambers 30-30 & they get by... maybe the case body is long enough on the 30-30???
