Looks like calving and lambing season should go some smoother. The hens in the hen house will breath easier too !

Here is a picture from 1995,the same cabin, when it still had a roof.I was working a 6 day a week job.Not sure how I got it all done. There was a lot of beating around in the dark,I remember that. One night,I had a big, beautiful, male bobcat.I laid my flashlight in the grass, pointed toward him,so that I could focus my film,SLR,for a picture.Just then,he went airborn at my face.I leaned back and remember, vividly,he hit the end of the chain so hard, his body swapped ends(caught by a front foot)and his hind feet swept across, just in front of my eyes-close,like an inch or two!Fun stuff.

Those old buildings always make for a good season wrap-up picture.. nothin' like spending the winter months out of Hunting-Season runnin' snares and traps. I do the same; Predator control to ease up on the cattle come calving season... lost a half dozen calves right off the straw three years back, that adds up to a hell of a dent in a persons bottom line
Last three seasons since, our count is someplace either side of 200 coyotes between our place and two neighbours cattle outfits. Make a 25mile loop. Fox numbers haven't really boomed here though, in that same time frame it seems to me between shooting & snares we only had a dozen or so, plus two Lynx.. Anyway.
Great thread. I like seeing how guys make out in different areas!

Great looking fur! I was able to trap beaver, something I always wanted to do, but they don't live where I live! Lol I had a couple days to travel to where they DO live and had some success. I'm hooked on these critters!

Beavers are fun to get after, but so much work to skin, stretch and flesh only-to get next to nothing on the market! It's too bad. Muskrats too... muskrats were about my favorite growing up, brother & I sold through my uncle by the sack full as kids; catching before & after school in winter! First money we ever made.
Same story though, markets crashed and isn't what it used to be

That's a big putty cat! You got some beautiful furred critters ! Have my brother moving to Wyoming real soon and hope to make it out there to trap those white belly cats! Color of your Coyotes are amazing!
