I went ahead and ordered one... hopefully it will be ready in a couple of months. I always wanted a 6 1/2 inch barrel but with my older eyeballs I went for the 8 1/2 instead. I've got 150 handloads made up with H-110 and W296 plus 50 factory rounds made by SBR. Load data is all over the place so I tried to be cautious. Yeah, I'll do a write up when I get it! The Test Rounds Bullet: Sierra 180 gr. JHC Powder: Winchester 296 27.0 grs. Primer: Winchester Large Pistol Case: Starline OAL: 1.600 – 1.605 Bullet: Hornady 200 gr. XTP-HP Powder: Winchester 296 26.0 grs. Primer: CCI-350 Case: Starline OAL: 1.600 Bullet: Hornady 240 gr. XTP-HP Powder: H-110 21.4 grs. Primer: Winchester Large Pistol Case: Starline OAL: 1.600

If anyone has an original AutoMag, I recently ran across my owners manual and other pertinent paperwork info that I ordered reprinted. I’ll gladly send it if you own one.

I've got a pdf copy of the August 1998 Shooters Manual, but I'd appreciate anything you've got!

I'm signed up for the updates from Automag. I can tell by the way they are written that these guys appear to know what they are doing. They're really going the extra mile to get the bugs worked out, and it's obvious from the photos.

Me too, that's what gave me the confidence to go ahead and order. They are really trying to improve the design and correct a few problems.

Starting to get discouraged... It's been nearly 10 months, could have bought an original several times.

A great pistol and to me, worth what I paid.... Had the 44 AMP and extra barrel in 357 AMP. Love to see your gun when it arrives...

We are proud to announce a historic day in the legacy of the Auto Mag. On Wednesday, May 22, 2019, the first Auto Mag .44 was assembled in our Loris, South Carolina facility. It fired flawlessly on our indoor range.

The new generation Auto Mag preserves the Pistol of Harry Sanford’s iconic vision and includes more than 20 improvements that represent the evolution of the original.
We are ramping up our facility towards full production, but in order to best serve first those loyal customers placing pre-orders and plan our production, please re-affirm your intention to purchase your Auto Mag in accordance with your initial order date. If you wish to finalize a request to purchase and your position in line, do so now by hitting the Button below.

I find this fascinating and cool, but they will be far, far out of my price range.

If there are any Auto Mag collectors on here, I have a aluminum casting of an Auto Mag, provided by Auto Mag to holster maker Andy Anderson of the N. Hollywood Gunfighter shop. Andy made his "Trooper Hook" full flap hunting holster for the Auto Mag and used this to wet mold the holsters.

What I’ve noticed is the originals went way up in price on GB since this announcement went out. I would still love to have an original 44 and 357 amp iris told but unless I win the mega millions doesn’t look promising.

I stumbled across a couple of AutoMag magazines from Joes Pawn on ebay. Don't know if any of you need some or not.

I've been tempted to cancel and get one of the originals... but I've got a hunch the new ones will be better! Hope I'm right!
Still waiting!
