Priest... I have no problem with the mention of the Taurse... but I am not in agreement about the Corevett. At the local toy store they have a 1963 IH Scout for $19,000... with total Chevy under the hood. No scout guy will buy it. Same attitude I get from guys about the LDA... won't buy it "It ain't a 1911". Not to beat the point to death,...but you just made it again for me. You called it a Scout when it's not 100% scout and it won't sell to the Scout groupies because it's now a variant, not a collector. Your other crew won't buy an LDA because it's not a 1911. It's a variant just like the scout,.....and they're looking for a 1911 from Colt,....or a clone. Not a variant which the LDA is. A better reference, as this is a gun forum, would have been to compare the AK-47 to all of it's variants by different countries. Do all of the parts always interchange with the originals? No. Are they AKs? No, they're AK variants of the original with slight to severe mods. A fine line that doesn't matter for most,....a waste of internet space to everyone else. Personally,......I'm anal. What can I say.

...Tone is easily misinterpreted in written material. You have done so admirably in this case.... As have you. That's why they make smilies. ;D dogman, sorry to have bothered you. I was just trying to get enough information to help. My Kahr/LDA experiences will remain my own.

Personally,......I'm anal. You know you better than everyone but God! I personally suffer from a bit to much country, kinda like a badger ... straight forward, straight from the hip, asking for opinioins from strangers is hard enough... and call it what a person wants, but when the questions asked are obviously not directed at helping but sure seem more like an attempt to show my ignorance... my back is going up. Difference with the "Scout" is that it actually started life as a Scout then someone murdered it and now no one will buy it for a Scout. (Or anything else for $19,000! What a joke!) Markbo... appology accepted. As always with a forum, your choice of what to do with the knowledge you have. God Bless,

Maybe even when perceived, but not meant that way?? Sure Markbo... that is what "sure seem" means. Means that I am going to have to be perceiving it from my perspective. A guy asks "which model you lusting over?" and I'm going to take it totally different than "you don't mention either model # so a recommendation can't be made ..." Right or wrong it hits me as high and mighty... You will notice I didn't ask for a recommendation... The actions are company specific and remain the same beyond models to the best of my knowledge. So unless someone can tell me that there are a variety of LDA from Para or that Kahr uses multiple actions... than personal experience with either action sans model specifics would be appreciated. Personal experience with both actions would be prefered. Getting in to an arguement over the definition of "is" & "1911" isn't the goal. Rather have guys assume that they know what I'm talking about than to assume that I'm ignorant. I get enough manditory detail to extreme at work... pleasure time I want to sit and chat on a face value level. Two guys sitting around a potbelly stove will interact differently than guys on line. Me & popeye... "I yam who I yam" right or wrong, better or worser. Luckily God's still working on me too. God Bless,

Well I sure didn't mean it other than I try not to assume anything on the internet... being as clear and direct as possible makes for fewer misunderstandings.
Never even occured to me it might have a 'tone' I didn't mean for it to have. My apologies are sincere.
