Boy , I hope they hurry up. The money I set aside has started to dwindle. I have no self control. Just got a email back that they are NOT going to offer a model with a factory installed Skinner sight like they do on some 22's. Too bad, that would be neat.

I am really fired up to get ne of these but may wait for the steel version. It will go nicely with my converted 16-4 or my Ruger SP in 327.

Almost 3 years ago I contacted every single lever-action gun maker I could find, pleading for someone to make this rifle. Only one company even bothered to respond to my communications and requests. Henry repeating arms replied to one of my emails to say, "We have no plans to produce such a rifle at this time."
Disappointed, but not yet deterred, I went looking for a host rifle to re-chamber. That didn't last long. All potential hosts were way over my budget, even before any re-work. I had just about given up hope of ever finding my lever-action .327fed/mag.
I came upon the .327fed/mag cartridge some time back, and just fell in love with it. I first purchased a Taurus J-frame 6 shot .327fed/mag revolver with a 2" barrel.
Last year I picked up a Ruger SP101 .327 with a 4.2" barrel. The love for this cartridge only deepened.
About January I received an email from Henry telling me they were going to release the Big Boy in both brass and steel, and rifle and carbine. I thought I'd died and gone to heaven!
I immediately contacted my friendly neighborhood FFL to tell him to start looking. I went online and found the Henry site saying "shipping March 2017". YEAH! I emailed Henry to ask about a more precise ship date than "March 2017". What customer service told me next just blew me away.
When I explained to the customer service rep that I decided I wanted a Big Boy steel rifle, with the 10 round capacity, I was told these were going to be a hot commodity. They are not expected to sit on gun shop shelves for long, and finding one from the first run might be a challenge. I was told to email the company president, Mr. Anthony Imperata with the following information. The name and contact information for my preferred FFL. His preferred distributor. The exact model of rifle I was looking for.
He told me that Mr. Imperata would ensure I received the rifle I wanted. I emailed Mr. Imerata and had a reply in my inbox in less than 24 hours! My FFL had been contacted. His account, with his distributor of choice, would be charged/credited with the sale, but the rifle will NOT go to the distributor. Henry is going to drop-ship my rifle, factory direct to my FFL!
My FFL already has an 80% deposit, even though he didn't ask for it.
I'm waiting patiently for my FFL, but the waiting gets harder every day...
It's WAY past March. Henry, ship my rifle already!

The .41 carbines are finally showing up, so I'd think the .327 shouldn't be far behind.

Henry is an outstanding company to deal with. I used to think so too, but my last email to Henry customer service has gone unanswered for two weeks. They posted on their website that these .327's would be shipping in March. Now it says April. I understand that things happen, but I'm getting a little frustrated. My FFL has had a deposit for one of these new rifles since late February. He didn't ask for it, I volunteered, but I did so because Henry said these would be shipping in March. I'm getting a little tired of waiting, but I'm getting really frustrated that they no longer answer my emails. Tried sending another tonight. See if this one lights any fires... C'mon Henry, if there's a problem with these models, let us know. If not, SHIP THEM OUT!

O.K. Henry customer service is now telling me a couple more weeks. Likely the end of April...

I'm sure it'll be worth the wait. I just picked up a .41 steel carbine & it's well fitted, well turned out little gun. Smooth action, trigger feels pretty decent. Shoulders like a dream & light.
.327 sounds like it'll be a sweet little gun. Always been fascinated by the round, but .41s are getting my undivided attention these days.

Henry has updated their website again. It now reads, ".41mag & .327fed/mag shipping late May".
I don't know what the issues are, but these repeated delays are becoming ridiculous.
