We have one on the range. Customers shoot it daily. After we learned to clean the chamber weekly and lubricate it properly with Tetra Gun grease it has proven to be a tough reliable little gun. We like it for training new shooters because it works like a centerfire gun. The skill set students pick up shooting it transfer directly to a centerfire pistol. We keep two of them for formal classes. I like it so much I bought one myself just for my personal training sessions.
To elaborate a bit on cleaning and lubrication... While we have the slide off the gun for chamber cleaning we brush all the trash from the top of the frame and the bottom of the slide. We scrub the bold face clean with a brass wire brush. We apply Tetra Gun grease to all the shiney spots and lastly wipe all the grease off the gun. Slicks up the surfaces and leaves nothing to gather dirt...

We have a few here & we also use ours for WOT clinics. I'll echo Axe here about maintenance.

I had one of the first ones that came out, dealers didn't even have them "in stock" yet, he ordered it straight from Ruger. I usually don't buy guns that new jic. I immediately called tornado tech and sent them my barrel for threading, hadn't even shot it yet. This was before Ruger started offering a threaded version. Tornado Tech said he thought mine was one of the first threaded in the country.
I got it back and put the can on and went to shooting. I never had a single FTF or FTE, not one. It was pretty accurate and a great can host, pretty quiet too. I sold it like an idiot and full intended to get a MK II, but when I got to the dealer they sold it-dang! Wish I had it back.

I bought one of the early guns and its been 100% reliable. Love the light weight and adjustable rear sight. That's missing from most pocket pistols.
Just added the new LCP II in 380. Vast improvement over the first models. New ammo makes it acceptable for self defense.

Volquartsen started offering better extractors because that was the main issue people were having. I haven't heard of that many problems though.

That's a new one, thanks Axehandle, never saw a Luger let alone a Broomhandle, in a Kydex rig! Worth the look.
