My guess is that goes high. A few of those NRA guts have real deep pockets.

If I bought it, I'd shoot it. No collectors or safe queens at my house.

So has anyone ever had a gun done up at Power Custom / Grand Master Alterations? or Mr. Powers himself?

I would definitely shoot it. No safe queens at my house. Of course, I could never afford it in the first place, coz I'm betting that package fetches north of $10K.

Be fun to watch. I would live to have a custom from Ron Powers!

Beautiful gun, but no #5 latch, which is my favorite part of the whole package...

I'm sorry, but the engraving appears coarse to me. Perhaps better photos might help.
And yes, without the latch it just isn't a #5

So has anyone ever had a gun done up at Power Custom / Grand Master Alterations? or Mr. Powers himself? Yes! My Ruger #5 is not quite as fancy as this one, but it's the first #5 built with Ron's grip frame and he did all of the work. It is the "one" that I would never part with. I would definitely shoot it, but probably not much since I already have one. It has been carried and shot a LOT since '09. Mine has a large crescent ejector rod button hand checkered. The loading gate is also finely hand checkered. Ron added a Weigand front sight so blades are easily changed. The one in the auction is another of many guns Ron has built and then donated to benefit the NRA. Dan

There's no such thing as a Safe Queen in my world, so I'd definitely shoot it...Why not? The original "Last Word" #5 was carried & shot often.
