Would a Colt bisley hammer drop in that?
What's it worth for those in the know? I really need there to be a USFA reference book. I feel like I see so many on GB that go unsold it's hard to gauge real world value.

$2450? What am I missing? I'll admit I don't know these that well but is this combination all that rare?

I do not think Colt offered a bisley spurred hammer for the model P gripframe. USFA did a offer those but there are none available as parts any longer. If you can find a Colt bisley hammer you could have Alan Harton graft it on like I hade him do for a Colt NF hammer. Those hammers are hard to find and cost more than two bills when they show up. That is why I only buy USFA guns that have that hammer. That is a nice gun but priced too high for my tastes.

I feel like I see so many on GB that go unsold it's hard to gauge real world value. Not sure, but the last NIB USFA I sold went for $1750. That was a 45 colt/45 acp 5.5" gun. The 45 acp cylinder alone was probably worth $250 or $300. For NIB guns I think if you pay 1000 or so for a rodeo or under 1500 for a case colored gun you've done pretty well. Double eagles, flat top targets and omnis will be more, sometimes much more.

The last 3 bisley spurred USFA guns I snagged were all under $2000 BUT I did not waste one second once I saw them either.

Collector's is an impressive gun shop in Houston. You can find just about any firearm in there; current or past. Prices are typically at the high end of the market. It is worth a stop if you are in the area.
