I love the part where he says they were developed for the .257 JackRabbit, the forum wildcat is gaining legs! Wonder who he is? Sure appears to cast from a few different Miha mold designs and his prices are pretty danged reasonable, cheaper than I would even ponder casting for...

His name is George and calls his business GT Bullets. He loves Miha's molds. I actually sent him my Miha mold in exchange for him casting the bullets. He said they were a bit difficult to cast as the mold wanted to cool down to rapidly. I have been using his bullets for about a year and can testify that they are cast from a soft alloy and in my 32-20 they are devastating on Jack Rabbits. I will use these in my 257 Jack Rabbit revolver that is waiting it's turn in Hartons shop.

I wont say its a knock on the Jackrabbit mold but for the velocities Fermins getting, especially with softer alloys, I would want the gas checked version. However they can always be slowed down if necessary as well. Miha molds are a lot of fun, I have 6 or so of them...

Yes, I understand the need for a gas check if high velocity is your goal. I ordered the plain base version because of the simplified casting process and knowing that this bullet would be used for close in shooting of cottontail rabbits at 10 yards and Jack Rabbits out to around 80 yards which is a difficult shot with open sights. I will also experiment with gas check bullets at a later date if I feel the need for speed.

Thanks for posting the link... I have a mold, & all the equipment to start casting... all I'm lacking is the time... I think I'll buy a lot or two of these to play with... I don't have a "Jackrabbit" but do have a custom 8 shot 257 Special ( Ruger Single using 22 Hornet cases blown out & trimmed to 38 Special length ) these look like they'll work great in my gun, which is the reason I bought the mold in the 1st place
