Looks pretty good. If it were a dual role truck/kids gun I would go 7.62x39. Plenty of ammo options and knock down power with low recoil.

Well we will see how they turn out. Got 2 on the way. A 223 (329.00) and a 6.5 Grendal (439.00). Prices seemed reasonable. What reviews I have found have been pretty positive.

A magazine guy wrote up using the 7.62 at a thousand yards with Wolf match ammo. Six pound gun, six hundred dollars (plus scope), MOA at a thousand yards, detachable box magazine. Must

temptation

I still have not got to try them out yet. Got to source 6.5 Grendel ammo. None found locally. This round is interesting me. I hear it compared to a 6.5 PPC

So what makes it the "Mini" action? I have an older model Howa 1500 Sporter in .204 Ruger that is a tack-driver. Do like that little rifle. Fantastic trigger right out of the box.

I've got an old Interarms Mark X Mini-Mauser in .223 which I'm guessing is pretty much the same action. I've had it for several years and have been very pleased with it. It travels a lot with me to random places in the truck.
