Barranti North West Hunter shoulder rig 10 1/2", this is serial #8 I believe, amazing fit & comfort for a long barreled sixgun. Dick

Dick, what have ya got hiding in that long shuck? Does the strap go around your thigh? A short person it would go around an ankle. The picture of the trio. Jeff

This is probably an early Safrariland shoulder rig because of the steel "stay" but it could also be an Idaho Leather rig, don't remember. From the 60's up into the early 2000's I used shoulder rig's by Safariland, Lawrence, & Idaho Leather quite a bit before Fermin put me onto Mike Barranti. Dick

Lawrence #7 with a Ruger 44 Flat Top, late 60's, early 70's, not sure. Jeff, the Barranti holster you refer to is the holster for my NWH shoulder rig, rides real nice. Dick

Early to mid 60's when you could take 2 deer. Shot a meat doe with the second tag, rifle is a custom 25/06 & the sixgun is my ever present 44 flat top. Can't tell which shoulder rig I'm wearing, eith Lawrence or Safariland. Someone almost shot me on this hunt, they were very close & I never did see them but my ears were ringing they were so close. I ran. Dick

Jeff, here is the Northwest Hunter rig with the 10 1/2" Ruger, you can see it very easy to carry & is adjustable in every way. I can raise it, loser it, move it left or right. Shot a Wyoming muley buck on this hunt, but ended up using my 41 maggie. Dick

Jeff, here is the same Barranti shoulder rig but I had switched guns every other day. Just happened to have the 41 magnum when I caught this forkhorn muley getting a drink at a small stream in Wyoming. Shot was about 90+ yds straight on, you can see I hit him center chest & the Keith bullet exited about where my elbow is resting on him. Dick

This is my favorite rig when fishing small trout stream where there's lots of brush, willows, etc. Rob Leahy's Simply Rugged Chesty Puller & my old model 357 shorty. Never gets in the way for casting, reeling or shooting at 3 lb. mosquitoes with 2" fangs! I've used this rig for many, many years. Probably 2004. Dick

Nice photos Dick! The Barranti NWH shoulder rig is a superb holster for scoped and unscoped revolvers alike.

Mark, you are right, a sixgun fits them like a glass bedded rifle. This is one of Barranti's cross draw rigs for my 5 1/2" flat top Bisley with a set of my Box Elder Burl stocks. Dick

A Barranti Hank Sloan strong side rig for a 4" gun. Shown with my 3" 696 44 special. You can tell I'm still using up regular lubed 44 Keith slugs from the dirty cylinder. Dick
