Just a plain Jane safariland While not all that fancy, it has sentimental value because my Dad made it for me. same holster also fits this gun nicely

Nothing wrong with being correctly handed.
Great looking, correctly handed leather.

This is a Black Hills Rancher. There's a left side cross-draw rolled up underneath, which works nice for vehicle travel.

For those who don't know, the Sparks 55BN is named for the late holster maker Bruce Nelson.

This is a fantastic thread. My 10 yr old comes and looks over my shoulder every day or two and comments on the leather, we talk while rolling through the pictures and he's sure that the leather is as cool as the guns that are in it, I have to agree.

Here is some from my collection...
A couple classic SD Myres holsters and a re-creation of an old Myres design made by Texas Ranger Tol Dawson. The Dawson holster was a gift from Bart Skelton, and had once belonged to Texas Ranger Joaquin Jackson.
Here are a few carved Lawrence holsters....
Representing the Border Patrol rigs, a Myres Askins and a Don Hume Jordan...
And here is a shuck built by Oliver Ball, of Ft Worth, TX, based on the old Myres Threepersons with hammer shroud. Ball was an LT in the Ft Worth PD and made holsters for cops coming out of the Academy and other LEOs in the area. This holster was given to me by a fella in Texas whose grandfather had gotten it from a Texas Ranger.
Unfortunately neither the Dawson or Ball rig have a proven provenance other than the word of the men that gave them to me...but their word is good enough for me.

I'm really diggin all this leather. Mr. B I enjoy seeing your work as it's always outstanding but these old historic rigs are really special. Reading who they belonged to, their creators and the folks that put them in your charge is something special. And Madbo's rigs, just awesome. You need to write your own book on these rigs and their history. I don't have a coffee table but I'd buy one to set that book on. Sure miss reading Madbo's thoughts on here. Hope he's doing well.
