Not being a Ruger fan outside of single actions I don't have a clue... But I can say that other than the fancy marking it looks stock. I'd expect a sight and trigger upgrade in a custom. My RENE stuff is sitting on my desk at work...

The Great Eight was offered by Ruger as a exclusive distributor model from Davidson's. Available in both a MKII and a 22/45 models. There were approx 807 MKII models made and a few thousand of the 22/45 models made. I have one of the later. Fantastic shooter! Wish Id gotten more whan I had the chance.

What is the "eight" all about, then? Something to do with the last eight states that have decent gun laws? ;D
