Picked up this 1892 in 25-20 this afternoon. Had a little range session with it and must say that I'm very impressed with this early caliber. The gun dates from 1913 and is tight and mechanically correct. I've got to spend some time cleaning up the bore...but from the test shots ~ she's a accurate gun already... I've had quite a few of the modern Winchester and Marlins. Actually have a few still. Gotta say that there is no comparison between the modern lever guns and these earlier original models. The older ones were just better built.... giz

That is a very nice piece of American History giz! It would be a blast to load for that one.

...The older ones were just better built.... And considering the tooling and metallurgy gains over the years, that says an awful lot about the skill of the craftsmen in the olden days, doesn't it? ;D
