Saw one of us picked up a beauty of a TLA #5 just recently. Thought I might point out this one.

Thank you for the notice on that one. We will see what it does just for grins and giggles.

hmmm.....High Bid by K****6
now I wonder who that could be.
it says the High Estimate is $2,250. I reckon that would be a pretty good buy.

There is usually a bit of a discount if you pay with a check. Also you can save a bit if you deal directly with the auction house.

I don't know what other wheeling and dealing can accomplish, but the buyer's fee drops to 18% if you pay "cash".
I'm a simpleton who would say I just bid what I want to pay and you-all figure out who gets the money! But this makes sense on their end, just like cell or TV companies tacking on fees to a base price. At least they show the fee front-n-center.

I would love one of these, but I don't think I'm in the running for this one! Unless I could hit Buy-it-Now!

Who knows what will happen but just because I stuck a number out there does not mean I would not love to see one of you guys get it. If it does land here then I have the first crumbs of an idea of what to do with it but I would need some help from some of you guys. We will just wait and see.

Not to high jack but have to ask how this proxy bid thingy works. Looks like this gun is part of Rock Island's December auction wich has live bidding next week.
Is the proxy-bid auction to win the gun or opening bid at the live auction or ??

I believe it is just basically an on-line bid that will be part of the auction process. If the live auction has a bid that goes higher than my bid then they get it. I did put in a maximum so it will bid automatically for me up to that bid point then no higher. Not a lot of hope to end up with the winning bid but what the heck.

If you sign up with proxibid you can take part in the live bidding. the max pre auction bid will become the opening bid when the auction starts. When I bid on Elmers 338-378 I did it via proxibid live during the auction and I'm pretty sure I payed more for it than I would have if I'd had them call me for the auction. Most of the winning bid that i've seen seem to come via phone or in person bids.
