Shipped on October 28th, 1935 and delivered to Bob Smith Sporting Goods Co. , Boston, MA... Factory records indicate it was shipped with a 5 inch barrel, blue finish, and checkered walnut grips... Unfortunately, the original grips are no longer with the gun. The set of Jay Scotts that are currently on it will disappear as soon as I find a pair of period correct ones... Giz

That's a great looking revolver. Very representative of the time period. Cars and houses looked great back then too.

I agree, that's a good looking gun. Sooo...the records say it was shipped with a 5.5" barrel...does that mean it's shorter now? The pic makes it look as though it could be in the 4" range.

Nope that's just how cool a 5" looks. IMO it's the best barrel length on an N frame.
Remember it's measured from the forcing cone forward.

Remember it's measured from the forcing cone forward. Yep, I'm good on that. Sometimes it's hard for me to judge frame & barrel proportions accurately from pics of certain guns. Picture angles can make them look different, too. Hope that makes sense.

I like mine! It's not nearly in as good of shape but it was priced right. This is an old long action Texas gun, I picked this up from Jack Fowler and it is SMOOTH. I'm keeping it just as it is 5"barrel, fake stags & trigger stop. Rob

I know what you mean Chargerfan, the angles do make a big difference.
Great gun you've got there robl, and I really like those old plastic stocks.

That is a beauty. Give Keith Brown a shout for a pair of "correct" grips as he can certainly make them.
