I hate you......I hate you with the very being of my soul.......lol I was shooting rats at a dump out in California........a guy brought one out and I have to say it is THE tat pistol of all time. You could chase them. Glad you enjoy it. I feel sorry for kids that will never have a chance to shoot rats at a dump. The sport of kings. I have only ever seen a couple. I'd trade a lot of custom knives for one........

Ok, now that I teased you a bit,,, I'll share more of the story. Local auction house,,, where the owners are CLUELESS about many guns. A local man passes & they get the collection of stuff to sell. LOTS & LOTS of stuff, to where it took several different auction days to move the estate. Over the 4 months it happened,,, I got some screaming deals. Besides the HS;
A Dillon 550,, with 5 caliber conversions,, for less than the cost of a 550 by itself. A Master Caster & a RCBS Pro Melt with a 5 gal bucket of lead for about $335. Two, older, aluminum 2 gun rifle cases, discontinued, & later returned under a new name,,, originally valued at about $275 each,,, for a total of $55. High bid on a box of magazines,, all mixed up,, with over 60 magazines in it,, cherry pick them at $5 each. I got over 25 of them,,, including some rare & hard to find mags.
These are a few of the items I recall off the top of my head. There were others as well.
The moral,,, go to auctions,,, especially when the auction houses have no clue,,,,,!
On a different note,,, there was a small auction held a few years ago,, and they too had to mix it up in two different batches. An alert buyer who got some excellent deals, was aware of impending guns that were to be auctioned. Several NIB, never even opened from the shippers, OM 2 digit Ruger SA's. He got the word out,, and several folks made a serious road trip as well as phone & absentee bids. The locals could not believe the prices realized for these Rugers. The family was able to receive true current values on many guns. The auction house was amazed & shocked as well. A sad note here. One of the buyers, who bought the NIB Ruger Flattop 357 mag serial number 49 recently passed away. He was a great guy & did displays for ROCS & all.
Auctions can reveal treasures,,, as long as the buyer knows what it is,,, & the auction house as well as other buyers don't.
