Anyone know of an aftermarket source for a mainspring housing with lanyard loop for an Officer's sized 1911? I see plenty out there for full size gripframes but none for Officer's. Is it a geometry issue - will it not fit? Thanks, Tim

Call fusion firearms and ask. They sell parts and do gunsmithing. Otherwise I don't know where to point you.

Fusion's website doesn't show any lanyard looped Officer's size ones. Haven't found a one anywhere so I suspect it must be a space issue. Thanks John! Tim

It looks like you can get one from Smith & Alexander. From their website: "All Main Spring Housing available with Lanyard Loops. Please add an additional $10 dollars to the price of the Main Spring Housing with Lanyard Loops. Lanyard Loops are not available on aluminum parts." www.smithandalexander.com/spr-housing.html
