Williams has installed their FP aperture sight on my Browning B-92 (.357). Their head gunsmith advised me that the front sight may need to be replaced.
If it does need to be replaced, what front sights should I consider purchasing?

Williams has installed their FP aperture sight on my Browning B-92 (.357). Their head gunsmith advised me that the front sight may need to be replaced. If it does need to be replaced, what front sights should I consider purchasing? *** If the Williams Foolproof aperture is higher than the open sight, a higher front sight may be required. Burris made excellent sourdough front sights in various heights. Memory puts width of the Burris blade at about .075-inch. The square bade has a beveled "gold" insert. These are fast in the woods and provide a sharp elevation index. A sight pusher, such as made by Williams, helps with removal and installation of dovetail sights installed on a ramp-type base. Ahead represents the traditional from sight provided by manufacturers. The bead on many of these sits atop a flimsy narrow stem, subject to damage afield. Iron sights have for generations been a manufacturer's afterthought. Thus, inferior material, indifferent proportions, bead too close to the base----obscuring aim. Fastest shot I ever made on a leaping buck boomed from my Remington M6 .308 pump carbine in snowy mountain hardwoods. Sights were perfect---- Williams Guide aperture rear, Burris sourdough gold post front. David Bradshaw

I have a Lyman 66 on my B92 and the front sight still worked just fine with standard 240gr loads. Haven't done a lot of experimenting beyond that.

....just realized I have no idea what kind of mount you have going on there. If it's a dovetail you have a lot of options. If it's a pinned blade then hardly any options that I've been able to figure out at least.
