I had a Ruger Mrk II for years. Hated the take down. New Rugers I've heard are easier. Heard some good and bad on the Victory. I would recommend a S&W 422 for your wife. Wilbur

Wifey poo went in a different but pleasant direction. She picked up a Ruger SP 101 8 shot. 4.2 inch barrel. She liked the revolver over all the pistols she messed with. Of course I wasn't gonna argue.

Still kick myself for not buying an sp101 .22 about a year ago. If i remember correctly, he had bought it for his wife, she shot a couple shots through it, didn't like it, he shot remainder of cylinder and traded it in for auto (Taurus maybe)...
I came in while it was still on counter before gunshop owner had even cleaned it. He offered it to me at about half his new cost. I went back a couple days later and it was gone...

Sw422? A friend was a big fan of those and I ultimately would up with a 622 many years ago. Still have it. Never carried or shot it much, but loved its light weight for carrying.
Memorable story related to it involving a skunk.

FWIW my wife likes my old S&W M63 with rubber packys on it, the auto's are great for people who handle them everyday, but mine does not and feels more comfortable with the DA revolver.

Am personally a big fan of the Ruger Mk Series(hate mk3 and the mk4 does look ok) the wifey loves the Litewieght 22/45. Local LGS has had Victory in stock and while many are curious no known gun guys have bought one from him so we have no local feedback til now! I bought one. Wifey hates balance and wieght and we both loike the feel of grip. I hate HiViz sights so if it shoots well enough to have a home soghts will get replaced pronto. Details later as we intend to shoot later today

Well range trip to local sandpit got cut short as some unsavory characters showed up and we left early, be glad when deer season is over and dont have to worry about disturbing dad's hunting to use my range. but the Victory does function reliably and was dead on for me out of box with Federal AutoMatch bulk.
