That is a fantastic find in a rifle that can let the 32-20 stretch it's legs. Bill

Here is my 92 32-20. Belonged to my great great grandfather. Shot this yote about 15 years ago with it.

Hey Gizamo, nice find! I too have just been given a '92 .32-20 made in 1915, by a friend. He even gave me some of his Grandfather's hand-loads made in 1954 for it. A question and an observation. How stiff is the action; mine seems very, very stiff. Not sure I could keep it on target while cycling the lever. I have a new WW 1886 .45-70 TD, and its action seems quite smooth. Also, the rifling is very deep/proud on this gun ... other than powder fouling looks mint. Does the rifling (lands) look tall on your gun?

The Win. 92/86 is one of the smoothest actions they ever produced. It sound like it needs taking apart and a good cleaning. The 38-40 mod. 92 I had was that way when I got it. It hadn't been shot in about 25 yrs. when I got it and the oil had turned to varnish. I took me a week of soaking and cleaning to get it clean. When I did, it was like butter. Bill
