There are some smoking good deals on GB right now for these little Airweight revolvers in .38 Special +P. The one I snagged comes with two sets of grips, black and PINK!?!?!?! Oh well, wifey might take a shine to it someday, but for now its gonna ride around with me. I know a couple of guys that never go anywhere without the little Smiths's in their pockets. I got one for just $345 shipped, NIB.

Until I got an M&P Bodyguard I was one of those guys with a Smith in the pocket, a no lock 442. I let The Boy talk me out of it... Use the pink grips at the range. No guy will "accidentally" mistake it for his.

Yeah, they have the lock, but oh well. My big 629 (1 of 300) Ranger has the lock too, I just pay no attention to it.

The lock sticks in my craw but if I found one for that price or less NIB locally I'd be hard pressed to walk based solely on the lock.

Good deal and easy to neuter the lock if you so choose. If you look close you can see the grind marks on the flag, all parts still in place but even if the flag goes up it can't lock. Smith will send you an extra flag so you can return it to as issued if it moves down the road at some point.

When I bought the new 69 the other day a few co-workers had, to me anyway, some very nasty comments about the lock. Especially the hole in the side and how that looks to them. I replied that they could spend their money on any firearm they choose and that hole will not affect any target in front of that barrel. Of course most of these people haven't bought a new gun in the past 10 years. And like has been mentioned the lock is easily disabled.

You can not beat that deal. I'll take 5 of those pills from that gun over 6 or 7 in a Shield any day. Excellent buy. Great pics too.

Love my J frames, I carry a 442 or a 640 every day.
