www.accuratemolds.comYou want 45 250d. This is a copy of the Lyman 454190. You can design as fits your needs and they make up to a 5 cavity. You can have the bullet drop .454 . A 4 cavity aluminum block is $128.00 plus shipping. Several choices on block material. ( aluminum, brass, or iron) BTW this is my favorite bullet for general use in Colt SAA's. Dan

My old Lyman 2 cav 454190 throws them at .459", I think for a 4 or 6 cav, you will have to have it built. As for the Lee, I bet they would send you another one if it was under size, they have excellent customer service and it will cost a fraction of a custom.

Thanks everyone. I ordered a 5 cavity accurate mold today. Specifically a 45-250B.

Bill, that is a nice bullet Veral made. Makes me think hard about starting to cast. That bullet powder coated would be a winner.

Fermin, I agree on the doors it would open. I just find time is the limiting factor for me. I'm shooting 200 rounds a week and have been buying in bulk from Bayou. Nothing fancy just the coated 250gr RNFP. How many rounds do you think could be cast in a single hour and a half session? I'd then need to size and powder coat. I've been thinking about it it would be slightly less expensive than my bulk purchases since I don't have a source of free lead. I might continue to buy the bulk for my weekly shooting and cast for my hunting and specialty bullets. Not sure at this point.

You can run two 6 cavity molds and drain a 20 lb lead pot in no time flat. Whenever I do that, I have to have a separate pot running so the 1st pot can keep up.
