We could all register at 10 different taco trucks, right, just to "even the playing field???"

Here, we have a Rob Portman, that my union warns me was the deciding vote to allow work to go to asia, don't vote for him. On Tv, now, the Teamsters union is currently backing ole Rob, because he promises to keep jobs here in ohio.. I don't know which party he belongs to, but a carrer poli/liar it seems.

Used to really make me scratch my head whenever I would leave a Union meeting & walk through the parking lot full of Toyota trucks with Harley Davidson & Union stickers on the back.

I suspect it does matter to the thousands of American families that work for Toyota here in the US. Maybe those Ford trucks being made in Mexico are bad too?

I suspect it does matter to the thousands of American families that work for Toyota here in the US. Yup. And what matters to me, is keeping as much of my hard earned dollars in my pocket as possible, day in, day out, over the long haul. That means spending wisely. My daily commuter was made in Japan, sold and subsequently purchased by me in Canada. It cost me only about $10K, it gets 45 MPG, will likely go well beyond 300K on the odometer before needing any major repair or overhaul, and will likely continue to run as long as I will. To me, that's a wise investment. Those who feel they can afford to piss away money on a less reliable, less efficient, more expensive vehicle, no matter where it's made, are free to do so. Oh, and I had dinner last night in a Thai restaurant too. Should I not have, knowing that some of that money will find it's way back to Thailand? Maybe I should only eat "American" food? Doesn't matter where people register to vote, so long as they DO VOTE!

Surprised to see examples of the "What's Best For ME" mentality on this forum.
Its O.K. I don't expect you to understand....

Its O.K. I don't expect you to understand.... I understand that we live in a global economy, and that's not going to change. I understand that the subject of where consumables are produced, of what materials, from where, by whom, is not as simple as some would like to believe. I also understand bigotry and fear. And I understand it doesn't matter where people register to vote, so long as they DO VOTE! So what is it that you believe I don't understand?

The American Federation of Government Employees (to which I currently belong), part of the AFL-CIO, is heartily endorsing Hillary because 'She stands with us.' Yeah, right. Right up until she gets elected.

Right up until she gets elected. The only reason that "She stands with us" is because she is unable to stand on her own. I saw that video of her doin' The Curly Shuffle off the curb. www.youtube.com/watch?v=MgydvjoftJYwww.youtube.com/watch?v=FKAfXdb5LsA
