I just got an email from Ruger that they are temporally discontinuing the model 77 in these calibers and said "get them while you can" implying that they might not come back, They have used this ploy before. Theyn said once that they were discontinuing Blackhawks in 45 Colt, so I found a sporting gun store that was going out of business and bought one with a 4 5/8" and one with a 7 1/2" barrel (that was the only lengths that they came in then). Once they said they were discontinuing convertible blued single sixes, so i went out and bought all 4 barrel lengths. That didn't last very long and they were making them again. I think it was just a ploy to sell more guns. Ron

I figure they plan to devote all they can to the plastic garbage side of the house. Might be why you can't get a proper revolver, and some of he horror stories we see happen more often than they should. Doesn't take much talent to assemble the plastic garbage and all the skilled craftsmen may be gone.
I'm sure the panic market is getting ripe with the election looming.
