I have bought extra primers and a good cooler with dry packs from Cabelas, and have done this for a number of years with no issues...Iam thinking there might be a better way. Any thoughts will be appreciated...Thanks

What about canning jars?
Possibly add some desiccant packs, or rice?

Any thoughts will be appreciated...Thanks *** 500fksjr.... avoid moisture and high heat, especially that combination. Rapid temperature fluctuations condense moisture as the air cools. Watertight containers are good. Plastic watertight ammo cans should work. Primer packs or cases of primers wrapped in plastic protect primers from most moisture. Primers should not be stored close to a hot roof or wet floor. If the "dry pack" is a desiccant made with salt, you don't want it next to loading components, ammunition, or guns. JM.... canning, or mason jars, are glass, and that is a no-no. Glass is too fragile. Worse, glass may have an affinity for static electricity. David Bradshaw |

I just store mine in a metal cabinet with everything else, no special measures. Its as cool and out of the sun as it can be, but in the summer months its pretty warm in the garage, but no special treatment.

I've stored mine in an old refrigerator for over 25 years. Powder in the main compartment and primers in the freezer portion.

Have always stored primers in their original packaging on the loading bench shelf. No issues to date.

I've got mine stored in those cheap plastic ammo cans you can get at Walmart for $5. seems to work ok.

I live in a cool, dry climate & my primers are stored in the basement. Most are in metal ammo cans & I also have 15-18 thousand in my gun safe. Never had a primer problem here.

mine are on a shelf in my walk in gun safe room... dehumidifier running during the summer months... Temp stable & dry... not had any issues

Mine are in a basement where the boiler is. On a rack above my reloading bench. No problems.
