Please read and say what you think and though this theory may seem off center so to speak, what would be your solution? I agree that it's "off center".

Its completely plausible. It makes near perfect sense. Not sure there is a solution anymore as we as a nation have become so dumbed down. Our neighbors would sell us down the road for a new X Box. Take the gun buy back programs. Imagine there are people so ignorant of what they have they would trade in a $2000 Winchester for a pair of Freaking sneakers! This is America today, run by liberals and morons, that have convinced many if not most of the masses that big govt is good, and individualism is bad, that socialism is the way to go and capitalism is patently unfair. So there is no solution and what the writer described is probably closer to happening than we think. If HRC is elected, I don't think at my age of 63 that I will see another Republican in the WH, and the scenario becomes even more possible, with each newly elected demtard.

It sounds plausible, but I don't think it'll happen in any kind of organized fashion. Government is famously inefficient and non communicative with other entities who employ a large number of 'I don't care about my job, just collect the cash' types.
I think the article writer gives too much credit to government scare tactics. All in all, it's written like a zombie apocalypse click bait piece.

I admit some of it sounds a tad far fetched, and while govt often seems to be inefficient and bumbling, when push comes to shove it can move mountains when it wants to. In the event of say a UN mandate that the next president signed on to banning most or all privately owned firearms, I would not discount the energy that would be put forth to accommodate the UN's wishes. Such a ban has been being pursued by the UN for years. Note what has happened to other countries like the UK, Australia and others where private gun ownership has taken large hits. It can happen here too, after all the Bill of Rights is only worth the paper its written on if the sitting govt chooses not to follow it. Sort of like where we are right now as regards, how the Bamster operates. He does what he wants, and it takes time and the courts to set things right again, sometimes. But every time that happens there is erosion of the force behind our Constitution and Bill of Rights. You can see the erosion in the people today in how they see America and the amount of ignorance among our supposedly best and brightest, the young. Its shameful the level of ignorance present today. Benjamin Franklin famously said, when asked what kind of govt they gave us, "a Republic madam, if you can keep it". IF. It may not happen in my lifetime, but it would not surprise me if it did.

Nah, i think they'll stay the course. Ban one thing at a time until all things are banned. It's easy and it's proven to work. There are still plenty of gun owners out there who have been convinced that black rifles are scary and should be banned. Divide and concur. No one needs a 30 round magazine clip in one second. No one needs more than ten rounds in a handgun. In fact, no one needs an unlocked gun in their home. And really, it's just common sense that all guns should be electronic with a remote off switch. Won't somebody Please thing of the children?

Won't somebody Please thing of the children? I would agree, but if you take that to its logical conclusion you know what will happen. The same thing is happening right now with Obamacare. You hear all kinds of cries for going for the whole hog, total govt health care because Obamacare was only a half measure and failed. The same thing can and likely will at some point happen with guns. After doing all the things you mention, and still crime and shootings happen, they'll say well its not enough, got to have them all now. Like Sen. Di Fi once infamously said, "if I had my way, it would be, Mr and Mrs American, just turn them all in". It is coming, just a matter of when. Some will put their head in the sand and say, nope never gonna happen, but it will.
