Few things as smooth and relaxing as a 38 Special...
A couple dirt clods, tin cans, or clays and you're sailing!

nice looking revolver... I'll admit I'm on the weaker side with single actions, more so than double actions... at least the numbers tell me that

One of S&W finest revolvers! Always have my eye out for a Model 15. Hard to find in this part of America.

nice looking revolver... I'll admit I'm on the weaker side with single actions, more so than double actions... at least the numbers tell me that I enjoy the single actions I have and have seen many on this forum that are very pleasing to look at but for some reason a good blued DA just "does it" for me. One of S&W finest revolvers! Always have my eye out for a Model 15. Hard to find in this part of America. It's getting hard to find anything comparable around here as well. It's either very nice, clean pieces priced as NIB or rode hard and priced as 90%+ based on the latest Blue Book with slim pickins in between.

Makes me wonder what my old Colt Police Positive 38 Spec might be worth ? In DA, in needs to be fired briskly. Someone here warned me it may not get itself to fully locked up at the next chamber otherwise. They were right.

I have a model 67. (a stainless version of the 15) Its my favorite 38 special. I got it in the early 80's. and take it with me on the truck. I am a self employed trucker with my own authority. The last blued gun I took with me my wife put it in my bag with underwear that wasn't quite dry. I guess you know what it looked like about 6 hours later when I got my sheets out of the bag to make my bed. I think the blued guns are much better looking, but so far my wife hasn't been able to rust this one. Ron

in the 70s I carried a M15 in the Air Force a lot but only got to shoot it for qualification once a year. my personal guns were a S&W models 13, 14, and a 17 at the time, I like the K frame guns. I picked up a 15 a few years ago but it was pretty ragged out and I didn't want to put the money in it so I let it go. Of late I'm down sizing my collection in both numbers and cost so chances are I'm out of S&Ws based on they carry their value better than a lot of brands. Nice gun you've got there.
