I sold my 625-6 Mountain Gun to a friend of mine that has been looking for one ever since he shot mine. It took me years to find it, but I could never shoot it well for some reason even though it had been well tuned by/for a previous owner. For double action I'm back to my 329pd for field work and my little Taurus 445 for social work. I don't know why I could never get it to shoot well since others have but for me the 329 is more accurate for me.

A 329PD is probably the hardest gun to shoot of all the 4" S&W N-frames.... If you were outshooting the 625 with that I suspect that maybe there was something wrong with the 625 accuracy wise...
I have three MGs, a 657/.41, 629/.44 and a 625/.45 ACP and are some of my most accurate shooters... Had a 357PD/.41 and I could not shoot it near as well as the MGs..

Do you shoot 44 mags out of that broomhandled 329?!?! I don't leave that grip on it but I only shoot mags out of it. That little Altamont grip makes the trigger guard slap my finger pretty good.

Everyone that shot the 625 had good luck with it so it was something with me.

Lol. The cylinder is titanium and I still haven't figured out a way to get it clean without disturbing the finish so that's how it stays. I shoot a lot so it would just get like that again in a hurry.

I've always thought the 329 would be a great packing pistol & probably fun with Special loads. I shot a friends with heavy 300gr loads, & while controllable it was not fun. In Big Bear country they are comforting though.
