Looks pretty nice, no grips? It came with wood grips that didn't fit well. It's a N frame square butt that was modified to K frame round butt.

Should be a great packing piece.

Nice! Model 25-5 or 25-2? Also, one cannot remove enough metal from an N frame to make it a K frame roundbutt. Check out this N frame with a K frame grip on it. Notice how if enough material was removed to match a K frame profile, the sideplate would be intruded upon? And another picture of a 29-3 that was "modified" to get close to a K frame gripframe, along with similarly modified COKE grips! THE HORROR!!!

I love it! N frames are much more easy to conceal than most think.

I placed my original wood grips from my Model 19 and they fit perfectly. The firearm in the pictures is a 25-5. Here is my 25-2 that has K frame round butt pachmayr's.

Pachmayrs have more room in them than a wood grip.

Pachmayrs have more room in them than a wood grip. Here is a picture I took with the model 19 wood grips on. I can see your point but these look ok on there.

This was on a local forum a while back, not a pretty job, Spotted this one at a pawn shop last week. It's a pinned and recessed 29-2 that someone has shortened the barrel to around 3 1/2" and reinstalled the front sight. What was really interesting is that the grip has been cut, reshaped and brazed to the size of a K frame. It has a set of Bianchi K frame grips that create a shroud around the hammer. Ronnie

Nice, my only fear would be if the smith who did the RB damaged the serial # on the bottom of the gripframe? Than might make the BATF nervious.
