I decided to trade off my 4" 629 for a longer barreled 29 or 629. Onto Armslist it went and there it sat a while. Just Last week I was offered a cherry S&W 620 in trade. Well I had no idea what that was, it's a model I had no info on. Onto gunbroker I went, needed to figure out their sell value and figure out exactly what this thing is. From what I read on various forums the 620 was a transition model between the old 66 and the new 686+ It has all the aesthetic properties of a 66 but it's built on a 'L' frame, so it gets one more bang. Cool beans! Ok I'll make the trade! I like oddballs and even more oddballs hat were not made all that long. It also seems that the 620 was one of the very early revolvers to have a two piece barrel. The muzzle looks very different from my other 2 piece barrel guns. Well long story short, I made the trade and boy did I get a sweetie. The trigger is the slickest trigger in both DA and SA I have ever felt in a .357 Truly outstanding gun. Tomorrow I'll take some better pictures of her for your viewing pleasure.

Very accurate 357, also a very accurate S&W 357. Strong and use an L frame holster. Do not have the weight of the underlug! Undervalued and unappreciated Smith.

I have liked mine since day one. Don't think I'd trade it for a 629 . Sent it home to S&W for an action job and some Laser Engraving shortly after I purchased it. Very accurate revolver. Has done bedside duty ever since.
